Here are the voices of the CDM participants and the words with which they described the first edition held September 5-9 2023, in the halls of the Varco Auditorium.
A meeting of like-minded and passionate souls who had the opportunity to learn and be inspired by great Masters from different realities and experiences: Rosanna Filipponi (ballet), Diego Funes (contemporary dance), Kristin Lever (contemporary dance), Marco D’Avenia (hip hop) and Leonardo and Emanuele D’Angelo (tap).
The ArabesQueen show ended the edition 2023, a danced journey to discover the career and most beautiful songs of Freddy Mercury. On stage the dancers of the Arabesque Dance Company, accompanied by the notes of the MerQury Band.

Workshop CDM
An engaging experience for the dancers who will have an opportunity to study various disciplines with famous Teachers:
- Rosanna Filipponi, ballet and repertoire
- Kristian Lever, contemporary dance
- Diego Funes, contemporary dance, modern and stretching
- Marco D’Avenia, Hip-Hop
- D’Angelo Brothers, tap dance
- The workshop also involves specific training for the little ones, from 7 to 10 years of age, and with adults too from 18 years old and over, even for those with no background dancing.
The levels are:
- Ballet, Contemporary and Stretching
I level: 11 to 14 years old
II level: 15 years old and over (intermediate and advanced)
Adult: beginner level from 18 years old and over - Repertoire
II level: 15 years old and over (intermediate and advanced) - Modern
Baby: 7 to 10 years old - Tap
Baby: 7 to 10 years old
Beginners Level (all ages)
Intermediate Level (all ages) - Hip-hop
Baby: 7 to 10 years old
I level: 11 to 14 years old
II level: 15 years old and over (intermediate and advanced)
Adult: beginner level from 18 years old and over
The Workshop includes daily lessons and meeting moments: a gathering of people with a common passion, a gathering of various dance styles, a meeting with new teachers and different studying methods.
8th September 2023
CDM exhibition
Closing night dedicated to those who attended the lessons and that will take place outdoors, in Piazza Foro Boario. Each school will have some time to perform its own choreographies, and so will do the hosted teachers either by performing themselves or letting their pupils perform.
9th September 2023
“ArabesQueen”
Arabesque Dance Company paired up with the Mercury Band will be the stars of this show. A night that will join dance and music, a show dedicated to the iconic English band and to Freddy Mercury’s story. A connection between dancers, audience and the city that hosts this important training moment.
